Honours Student

I am currently in my fourth and final year of my undergraduate Neuroscience degree at McGill University which has included a semester abroad at the University of Leeds. My interest in research developed from a summer spent investigating the role of NFkB (a transcription factor) in an animal model of chronic pain. I am now working on a joint project with the Alain Dagher and Marilyn Jones-Gotman lab looking at peoples' brains with fMRI while they are smelling different classes of odours and determining the role of ghrelin in this activity. I am ultimately hoping for a career in medicine but I would like to simulateneously include clinical research. When I'm not in class, lab, or Burnside basement (home of the Science Undergraduate Society), I like to sleep in, spend time with friends, and rock out with the stars on Guitar Hero!
