Eliane Kobayashi, MD, PhD

Dr. Kobayashi obtained her medical degree in Campinas, Brazil, where she also completed the neurology residency program, epilepsy fellowship and PhD studies (Familial temporal lobe epilepsy: clinical aspects and MRI findings).
She came to the MNI in 2003 for a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Gotman and Dr. Dubeau. Her postdoctoral project aimed to study the relationships between lesions and activations in EEG-fMRI and was supported by the Preston Robb fellowship and by a CIHR postdoctoral fellowship.
Since 2007 she is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery. In addition, she also works as a clinical neurologist and neurophysiologist at the MNI Epilepsy Service.
