The Montreal Neurological Institute Fellowship and Travel Awards

The Montreal Neurological Institute awards fellowships and travel awards through
a competitive grants process.

The application forms will open as of August 1, 2019 at noon til October 31, 2019 at 11:59 PM

Fellowships

The following is applicable to all fellowships available at the Montreal Neurological Institute:

  1. Applicant must hold an M.D and/or Ph.D. degree.
  2. You must have received your PhD by April 1, 2015 or later in order to meet the eligibility requirements. Interruptions, delays or post-degree clinical training in your post-PhD cumulative experience may be taken into account in determining eligibility if detailed information on the interruption, including specific dates, is provided.
  3. Prior to submitting an application, applicants must contact a faculty member at the Montreal Neurological Institute and obtain their agreement to act as their primary postdoctoral supervisor. The faculty member must be identified on the application and will be required to provide a letter of support.

  4. Applicant must identify three sponsors and have each of them complete and submit the Sponsor’s Assessment of a Candidate for a Fellowship Award form.
  5. Fellowships are awarded based on merit and on a competitive basis.

Travel Awards

The following is applicable to all travel awards available at the Montreal Neurological Institute:

  1. Awards are for 'up to' the identified amount. Any unused funds may not be applied to other travel.
  2. Awards must be used towards conference identified on the application and are non-transferable.
  3. Student's / PDF's primary supervisor must be an MNI faculty member.
